Yesterday we had to drop off Sophie at Birmingham Uni. She was sooo excited about her new adventure (just like when we used to go on holiday when they were little she had been counting down how many sleeps left before she went!).
When we walked into her room I thought oh my God how are we going to fit all this in such a small space (she took enough clothes to dress an army), but eventually we did and it looked lovely.
I'm going to miss her, she's been at home now since May. Today the house seemed so quiet, and this weekend Jack's going back to uni too!

hello stranger!
Your daughter is gorgeous...and clever too...you must be very proud x
Her room looks completely non studenty, love the hot pink :)
Sophie's room look great and I know what you mean about the house being quiet and empty (son moved out last year) but it feels homely again since we got the cats!

It always felt strange and empty when mine went back. Good luck for Sophie for this coming year.
Have you done crying?! Good luck to Sophie. Now you will HAVE to talk to the hubby, or yourself!!!!!!!

I hope your daughter enjoys Uni and you don't miss her too much.
Well, I've joined the club as my first chick has flown away to uni too!
I'm sure you'll miss her as much as I'm missing mine but it is an exciting time for them isn't it?
