Giveaway

Over the weekend I managed to get a little sewing done and so one of the bags that I made will be my Birthday giveaway prize. Hope you like it.

Thought this little make up bag and tissue holder would be very appropriate for so many of my readers so they'll be in the parcel too!

Hey! I was 1 year Old Sunday and I forgot

Just thinking about when I first started my blog and logged in to check, couldn't believe it was 2nd March, I missed my 1st Birthday. To celebrate I'll do a little giveaway, don't know what it will be yet, but if you leave a comment I'll pop your name into the hat. My Kinda Day

After working for 2 days down in my office doing Hubby's books I decided that today I was going to spend doing things I like. I love the book covers I've seen on Hen House blog and there is a link to the tutorial so I thought I would give it a go this morning (I love everything on hen house blog, please take a look). This is how my first one turned out, not too bad I don't think. I make the little flowers with the off cuts of felt from making my embroidered cards (I just can't throw anything away, no matter how small it is. You never know when you may need it).

I Can't Believe It's Saturday Already

Where as this week gone to. I had so many ideas to put into action but have only managed a couple. We're out tonight to a 60th Birthday Party and I was going to make a new dress to go in but haven't even managed to cut the pattern out. Looks like my favourite purple jumper again!

I did mange to cut out and sew up a make up bag and purse out of one of the cupcake fabric I purchased the other week. It was the first time I had used this pattern and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. What do you think? I have enough fabric left to make a glass case to match. (When I don't know).

This is a photo of just a couple of the embroidered cards I have made with my Janome embroidery machine. These two were the first two I made.

At Last Spring As Sprung

Just had to show you a photo of the crocus that are flowering just outside my back door.

Folksy Here I come!

After much debating I decided to have a go at Folksy today. You can find me here.

It was quite easy to register but I found it quite long winded to list an item. The first item I listed the photographs didn't look too good so took a few more and it came out a bit better. (My photo taking is not the best in the world, I'm hoping it will become better the more I take)

The towels & cards I embroidered yesterday and have put for sale on Folksy.

I have quite a few items tucked away in our loft which I made last year for a craft fair I attended hopefully I will list these and you never know I may sell something.

I need to make a few pennies as whilst hubby was at work today someone tried to break in his van. Luckily he heard the alarm go off and ran outside, they had broken the passenger window but hadn't managed to take anything as he scared them off. I wouldn't mind but the only thing on the passenger seat for them to take was his lunch box with two tuna sandwiches in!!!
